Martina Sanow heads the private client department of private equity fund and investment technology firm Hg.

The company, which has around $60 billion under management, has in the past had mostly institutional and corporate investors but, as sophisticated investors realise the value of access to private markets, the share of individuals has been rising, and Sanow is leading the effort to welcome new clients, understand their objectives and attitudes to risk and returns, and aid them in selecting the funds they wish to invest in.

She said, ‘There is an increasing appetite for private individuals to access private markets to diversify their portfolios and get access to top tier private equity managers.’

Martina is a Partner and responsible for Hg's private capital activities, leading the Hg Wealth team. 

Hg Wealth is a dedicated team that sits within Hg, providing investment opportunities exclusively to individual clients and their wealth advisors, as well as family offices. 

Martina joined Hg in 2009 from Citigroup. At Hg she has focused on clients and fundraising, and served as Deputy COO for close to three years until March 2022. She is a Trustee of The Hg Foundation.
